My ROKU Fish
Each day I grow a little older
I get more stone cold sober
Compounding my anxiety
From a world that’s gone insane

Seems like we’re always on the brink
A ship about to sink
It gets so intense for me
Cause I no longer drink

How can I decompress
Exhale and get some rest
Interrupt this insanity of
Inhumanity

I just pick up my remote
Whenever I wish
And get immersed
In the cool blue world of my,
ROKU fish

No matter the time
I don’t need cable
Netflix or prime
WiFi or a satellite dish

Their vibrant shimmering color,
Provides me with my druthers
They glide so sweetly
They are so completely
Peacefull and tranquil to watch

They relieve my distress
From this colossal human mess
Allows my exhausted brain - to exhale

You don’t have to feed them
Or try to appease them
They never get offended
When they get in each-others way
No one to pay or thank
For cleaning up their tank
My Roku fish are thriving every day

Such graceful vibrant color give my eyes a reprieve
From the trauma of the drama, they’ve seen today

I just pick up my remote
Whenever I wish

Why must people be so heartless
You can put them on any wall or in your office
Coffee shop or favorite restaurant

My lack of motivation is astounding
My sedentary ways are compounding

I don’t have to think or even make a wish
When I am chillin’ with my ROKU Fish

When I’ve spent enough time
In the cool blue deep
I’ll drift away… into some welcomed sleep
When I awake
The first thing that I’ll see
Are my Roku fish, - to welcome me!
